In Amari POS, a branch is a physical shop location. If you have one milk tea stall, you have one branch. If you have three, you'll add all three to Amari and switch between them. Every branch has its own products, inventory, shifts, sales, and staff โ they're independent from each other.
Before you start
- You've signed up and are logged in as the Owner
- You know your shop's physical address and contact number
- You've decided on a short branch code (e.g. SARANAY, MAIN, BGC1) โ used for QR ordering URLs
How to add a branch
Go to Settings โ Branches
From the sidebar, tap Settings. In the sub-menu, tap Branches. You'll see a list of all your current branches (if this is your first time, it'll just have the one we auto-created at signup).
Tap + Add Branch
A form appears with fields for the new branch. Fill in:
- Name โ a friendly name, e.g. "Saranay" or "Main Branch"
- Code โ a short unique code (letters and numbers only, no spaces). This appears in QR ordering URLs like
/order/SARANAY - Address โ full street address (optional but recommended for your own records)
- Phone โ branch contact number (optional, shows on receipts if set)
Branch code is permanent
Choose the code carefully. Once QR posters are printed and customers are scanning them, changing the code breaks their ordering link. Short, memorable, and unchanging โ e.g. your neighborhood or mall name.
Tap Create Branch
The new branch appears in the list. It's immediately available in the top-left branch switcher, so you can jump into it and start setting up products, ingredients, and staff.
What to set up next
A branch starts completely empty. Before you can take your first sale, you'll need to populate it:
- Ingredients & supplies โ the stuff you make drinks from (powders, syrups, cups, straws, etc.)
- Products โ the menu items your customers order (Milktea, Frappe, Fries, etc.)
- Recipes โ connect products to the ingredients they use so stock deducts automatically
- Team โ invite cashiers and kitchen staff, assign them to this branch
- Printer โ connect a Bluetooth thermal printer
- Branding โ upload your logo and set brand colors
Each of those has its own help article. Work through them in the order above โ you can't create recipes until you have both ingredients and products, for example.
Managing multiple branches
- Switch between branches using the dropdown in the top-left corner of the sidebar. Every page you visit (Inventory, Reports, Accounting) then shows data for the selected branch only.
- Each branch's products are independent. If you sell Big Pork Siomai at Saranay but not at Benny, just don't add it to Benny's product list.
- Staff assignments are branch-scoped. A cashier invited to Saranay can't ring up sales at Benny unless you add them there too.
Pricing scales with branch count
Amari uses volume-based pricing. 1 branch is โฑ499/month, 2โ4 branches is โฑ449/branch/month, and so on. Adding more branches actually lowers your per-branch cost. See the billing article for the full breakdown.
